Housekeeping Assistant

Join our Country House Hotel Housekeeping Team.
Our goal: To give an excellent consistent cleanliness standard in cleaning.

  • What we do: changing beds, emptying bins, hoovering floors & corridors, dusting and cleaning bathrooms daily.

  • What we are looking for: flexible attitude, willingness to learn, can do attitude, eye for detail and passion for cleaning.

  • Casual and contracted hours available.

  • Full training will be provided.

Working hours will be 10-2pm Monday to Saturday and 11-3pm Sunday

PART TIME / 16 HOURS A WEEK

Waiting Staff

Delivering excellent standards of service in a friendly and professional manner to our guests. Proactively welcoming and greeting all guests and visitors to the Restaurant and the Hotel.

To assist in the set up if the restaurant before service, ensuring all required items are stocked and ready for use.

To seat guests offering them menus, drinks and providing explanations of the menu when required. To deal efficiently and courteously with all guest queries.

Ensuring the restaurant environments are always maintained and cleaned to a high standard both during and after service.

Delivering consistent, exceptional service in line with the luxury standards.

Maintaining an up to date knowledge of allergies and their associated regulations.

Understanding opening and closing procedures.

Receptionist

We are currently looking for passionate and customer focused Receptionists to join our team. We have both full time and part time positions.

As a Receptionist you will likely be the first person many of our guests will see, and just as importantly the last person they see. We are looking for people who love to make guests smile everyday with high standards and great attention to detail.

Experience in similar role is desirable as is a knowledge of Reslynx or similar systems. However, if you have the right attitude and the desire to succeed we’d love to hear from you as full training will be provided.

Due to our rural location and shift pattern which will include early starts, weekends and late finishes public transport is not an option for this role, own transport is essential.

Shift Pattern/Hours include a variation of shifts between the hours of 7am-11pm Tuesday to Sunday

Night Porter

The Night Porter is instrumental in overseeing the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise. This is a hands on role managing the guest expectations and ensuring the standards of service are maintained.

Your role as Night Porter will involve taking responsibility for the Food & Beverage Department of the hotel during the night, you will welcome our guests to the hotel in a friendly and helpful manner, ensuring that the public areas are kept immaculate - you will be cleaning public areas and preparing meeting and event spaces ready for the next day.

You will be assisting guests with their luggage, dealing with any inquiries and carrying out nightly Health and Safety audits. You will be organised and an excellent communicator.

Experience of working in a similar role is beneficial and experience of night shift work is essential.

Shifts will be Tuesday to and including Saturday nights and as a hotel will include holiday periods.

Chef De Partie

As a Chef De Partie we are looking for someone with experience of working in a busy kitchen environment, not necessarily a hotel background but with the relevant Food Hygiene qualification and practical experience. The role requires you to work on your own initiative at times ensuring consistent levels of food quality and service.

Rates of pay competitive as well as company discounts after your qualifying period and live-in accommodation if required.

Due to location own car is essential.

Kitchen Porter

As a Kitchen Porter you will be expected to support the Head Chef in ensuring the standards of cleanliness in the working areas are maintained and comply with Company and legal standards. They will also help with preparation of food and support events within the Hotel.

Have the ability to work well under pressure, with an accurate and consistent approach to customer service, restaurant and hotel equipment. Experience working in a similar position would be advantageous however, not essential.

Direct experience with hotel businesses is not required, though some knowledge of the industry would be beneficial, as would experience working within restaurants, bars, or events-based sites. .

Duties include:

  • Assist with ensuring the efficient and effective running of the kitchen.

  • Ensure the working areas and equipment in the kitchen are cleaned to a high standard.

  • Aid the Chefs when necessary.
